Gordon Hopper Obituary

Gordon Hopper, age 84, of Bettys Creek community passed on April 3, 2024, after an extended illness. Gordon was born in Rabun Gap, Georgia the son of the late John Jepty Hopper and the late Marry Burrell Hopper.

Gordon loved fishing and coon Hunting. Then he enjoyed having fish fries with family and friends. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents Gordon was preceded in death by a brother, David Hopper; two sisters, Geneva Aycock, Barbara Jane Cabe.

Gordon is survived by two sons, Wesley Hopper (Dorothy), Richard Hopper; one daughter Dawn Hopper James (Doug); two grandchildren, Dellon James (Julie), DeAnne Gragg (Timothy); four great grandchildren, Colton Gragg, Ava Gragg, Caroline James, Cassidy James.

The family will have a graveside service at 2:00 PM Sunday April 7, 2024, at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Ronia Hunter officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made to The Sid Weber memorial fund at P.O. Box 485 Rabun Gap, Georgia 30568. In memory of Gordon Hopper.
