I am so sorry to hear of Debra's passing but heaven received a wonderful caring angel. My son were privileged to have her as their teacher when she moved to Chestnut Mountain Elementary. She was a sweet, wonderful and caring teacher. She will truly be missed. She touched many children and made their lives better.

The Yates family would like to send our condolences and prayers to the Marchman family. Debora was always smiling and in a good mood, while having nothing but positive encouragement when it came to supporting the Ramblers win or lose. All the students/players loved her and was sad when the Marchman's moved away in the late 80's. To Mike, Heather and Tim, our hearts go out to you..

I am so sorry to hear of Debra's passing, I have many wonderful memories of her when I was a child and she was a special person to me when my brother, and her classmate, passed away.
I hope you will all feel the love of an entire community as you grieve and celebrate knowing that her smile has returned and she now sits with the Lord.

To Debra's precious family:
Debra has always held a special place in my heart!. We met in Bremen where I was a first-year teacher at HA Jones. She taught K/1st and I taught 5th. She was the BEST teacher I ever viewed and remains so until this day. While little boys benefitted form Mrs. Martchman's teaching/learning style tremendously, so did our daughter, Bekki. Bekki was quite fortunate to have Debra for two years at Chestnut Mountain. Debra was THE teacher parents wanted their child to have during the formative years. Debra and I attended ball games, shopped (even though she felt guilty about spending money) a little and dined together as often as our schedules allowed. She LOVED her God, her CURCH, her FAMILY and her STUDENTS. Heaven gained a beautiful Angel, inside and out when Debra entered the gates.
