Kathleen (Wilbanks) Alley

Kathleen Wilbanks Alley, age 86, of Lakemont, Ga., passed away September 2, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side.  She was the daughter of the late Artemas and Oma McCracken Wilbanks, and was also preceded in death by her husband Lamar Alley Sr. one brother Artemas Wilbanks Jr., and three sisters Mable Shore, Lee Byers, and Melita McGehee.

She is survived by her two sons Lamar Alley Jr. (Linette) of Lakemont, Ga., Bartley Alley (Kim) of Lakemont, Ga., one daughter Kay Wilkerson ( Ronald) of Lakemont, Ga. six grandchildren Michael Alley, Liana Welborn, Blake Alley, Melissa Scruggs, Melinda Lowe and seven great grandchildren, special niece, Dee Shore. Also surviving are special care givers that Kathleen loved dearly Martha McCutcheon and June Littrell.

Kathleen was of the Baptist faith and member of Lakemont Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family, being outside, fishing, camping, and collecting rocks. She worked with her husband for many years at Alley’s Grocery.

The family will receive friends on Monday September 4, 2017 from 6:00p.m until 8:00p.m at Beck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00a.m Tuesday September 5, 2017 at Lakemont Baptist Church with Rev. Jewell Gaines officiating. Interment will follow in the Joy Baptist Church Cemetery.
