Morris Edwin Robinson

Morris Edwin Robinson, 74, of Rabun Gap, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018, with his loving family by his side.

Morris started his career in the health care industry at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, GA as a lab tech. He was later trained to be an x-ray tech. He worked at Ridgecrest Hospital for 42 years in Rabun County. Morris loved caring for the people of Rabun County. He taught Sunday school at Head of Tennessee Baptist Church for many years and served as a Deacon of the church.

He enjoyed fishing and wrestling. He also enjoyed traveling to the beach with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph John Robinson and his mother, Marjorie Elene Carpenter Robinson.

He is survived by his loving wife Darlene Robinson and two daughters, Stephanie Watts (Eddie) of Lakemont, Ga., Shannon Robinson of Rabun Gap, Ga.; one brother, Gary Robinson of Greeboro, Ga.; one sister, Judy Smith of Clayton, Ga.; Allen Dills (Susie) is like a brother of Crossville, Tennessee; three grandchildren Brittany Ragsdale, Ashley Whitmire, Dustin Henderson; seven great grandchildren, Jordan Ragsdale, Amanda Ragsdale, Aubree Whitmire, Amos Whitmire, Ruby Whitmire, Allie Henderson, Jaxon Watts; God son Andy Spruell, God Daughter, Denise Mcpherson, and a number of nieces nephews and other family also survive.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.

The funeral will be held at The Head of Tennessee Baptist Church on Monday April 23, 2018 at 11:00 am. With a graveside to follow in Rabun Memory Park with Rev. Gabe Southerds and Rev. Doug Porter officiating.

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Rabun Gap Nacoochee School or The Head of Tennessee Baptist Church in memory of Morris Robinson.
