Philip Craig Gilstrap, age 71 passed away April 13, 2018. He was born October 21, 1946 the son of the late William Roy and Sara C. Gilstrap.
He is survived by his loving wife Wanda Gail Gilstrap. Also surviving are his two sons Craig M. Gilstrap (Sarah) of Richmond, VA., and Charles A. Gilstrap of Richmond VA., three brothers David L. Gilstrap of Cleveland Tn., Michael R. Gilstrap of Lillian, Al., and Paul C. Gilstrap of Cleveland Tn., and four grandchildren Austin Gilstrap, Dylan Gilstrap, Bryce Gilstrap, and Carleigh Gilstrap.
Phil was raised in Chickamauga Ga., where he found the love of his live Wanda Gail and they have been married for 50 years. He attended Gordon Lee Memorial High School in Chickamauga Ga. graduation class of 1964. He then attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a B.S degree in 1969. He was self employed as an Insurance agent for the past twenty years and previously employed by Provident Life Insurance for 30 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and Georgia Bulldog fan. Phil loved his family very much.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the United Methodist Church at Chickamauga, Georgia.
