Having been trained by John Lunning, it's no wonder as decade later when I worked with Randy that I too was impressed and mentored by Randy. An honest, true, hardworking man who stood up for he believed in. I am better for having known Randy. Undoubtedly, he will live forever.

My deepest and most sincere condolences on the passing of a true American Patriot. Randy was one of my mentors when I first came into the CID Field in 1984/85. I was often in awe of his investigative abilities and I respected him as a Marine and a man. I am honored to have served with him. I pray you find peace. Semper Fi Randy.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good man and he will be missed. I am honored to know him and be able to work with him at Walmart. He often spoke of his family and even if something upset him, know that he loved every one of you. It is extremely hard to lose someone. It leaves an emptiness inside. If you ever need anything, please let me know. God bless you all

To Mitzi and all the Starkey family, my most heartfelt condolences go out to you. Randy and I go back a long way together, first at CID in Okinawa, Japan in 1980-81. Randy and I were roommates there in the North CID office and remained good friends for all these years. When he was at Camp Pendleton, CA, I was just down the road at El Toro, CA, and we re-connected. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Randy's passing and wish I could be there for his service, but I am in Texas. My god be with you and your family at this difficult time.
