Robert Leroy Ryles Sr., 89, of Atlanta, GA, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 after an extended illness.
He was born in Danville, GA, and was the son of the late Alfred and Annis Ryles. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Minnie Busha May Ryles in 2009 and a brother, Edwin Ryles.
He is survived by a son, Robert Leroy Ryles, Jr. and his wife Terri of Florida; a daughter, Pamela Sue Crihfield and husband Buddy of Tennessee; grandchildren, Virginia Claire Ryles, Christopher Robert Ryles, Ryan Hall Leite, and Kellyn Leite Robertson. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Makala Nicole Leite, Gavin Michael Leite, and Aden Christopher Ryles.
He served during WWII in England in the US Army Air Corp 8th Air Force and was a retired furniture and appliance salesman. He was a member of the Peachtree Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA.
The family will hold a graveside service at Roane Cemetery on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 1 PM with Rev, Clayton Davis officiating.
