Dear Susan - you and Becca Gary were childhood playmates, attended school together and Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus. Becca loved you dearly and considered you her bestest friend! I was so pleased to meet you, and Catherine, at Tumbling Waters. My wish is that you are all together now, enjoying your evening cocktail and laffing at all the fun times you shared. Thank you and Becca for your service to America during WW 2. God bless you all. Rest in peace.

Miss Rogers was my absolutely favorite teacher ever. I got in touch with her around 12 years ago and told her so in a subtle way. Then I decided today to find her and tell her in stronger terms. I had her in a small private school in New Orleans for three for history. She was a disciplinarian type which I loved about her. She would tell the girls who deserved to be reprimanded off. I loved the way she dressed in plain clothes with no jewelry. I did not get along with the gym teacher Miss Sale and wondered how they could room with each other. But I never got along with any of my gym teachers. I thought Miss Rogers was young and beautiful. I never realized she was older than my mother. I'm so sad now. I so wanted to ask the name of our 7th grade history book so I could read it again. Miss Rogers voted for Stevenson when everyone else voted for IKE. I admired her so much. If anyone has a picture of her, please email it to me.

Susan and Catherine were strong and loving influences in many lives. I attended Tumbling Waters the first year it opened and for the 6 following years. I loved every minute and I loved them. Their service was opening the eyes of young people to the wonders of creation. I joy in knowing that they are now caught up as integral parts of creation forever. Margaret D Cooper

My heart was so heavy to learn of Susan's passing. My childhood summers at TW are my most cherished memories in my life . She and Catherine both will always remain close to my heart.
No doubt heaven is a better place beacause of them..
