Susanne Poole

Susanne Suber  Poole, age, 70 of Clayton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 25, 2017. She was born August 29, 1946 the daughter of the late Frank Dupree and Irene Wynn Suber. In addition to her parents, her husband Charles Monroe Poole preceded her in death.

          Susanne and Charlie acquired the Anchorage Boat Dock business in 1967. Immediately, Susanne fell in love with Lake Burton. She loved the busy seasons and the many wonderful people that were not only customers, but friends as well. Susanne had a knack for decorating and a love for music and art. She was an avid reader of all types of books. She loved animals, especially cats. And she had a passion for Nascar. She was a wonderful cook who fed many. She taught Sunday School at Clayton United Methodist. Susanne loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, business-owner, and friend to many. We will all miss her dearly.

She is survived by, her two children, Seth (Nikki) Poole, of Clayton, Georgia, Allison Poole (Arjuna Echols), of Clayton, Georgia; one brother, Frank Suber, of Chester, South Carolina; one sister, Cindy Mckenzie, of Concord, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Harrison Sumlin, Emma Poole, Samuel Poole and Gage Webb.

The family will receive friends on Sunday August 27, 2017 at the Beck Funeral Home in Clayton from 5 – 7 pm.

A private family memorial service will be held.
