Zackery Bounce Carpenter, age 45, passed away on February 5, 2018 in Summerville, Georgia with his family by his side. He was born at home on Wolfcreek Rd. in Rabun county on November 17, 1972, the son of the late Robert “Jiggs” Carpenter and Connie C. Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Tony Carpenter.
His survivors include his mother, Connie C. Carpenter; his siblings, Bert Carpenter and his wife Judy, Hank Carpenter and his wife Lisa, Bob McDaniel and his wife Ileana, Harold McDaniel, Rebecca McDaniel Camboia and husband Wayne, Russell McDaniel, Jeffery Jiggs Carpenter as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He attended school at Tiger Elementary School in Tiger, Georgia before relocating to St. Cloud Middle and High School in St. Cloud, Florida. He was a member of the football team and the Future Farmers of America.
Zack was a cowboy and rancher, and the co-owner of Cotton Mouth Cattle Company and Hay Sales. He spent most of his adult life in Hawthorne, Florida, managing the family ranch. Zack was popular, liked and well known as a gifted horseman and all around cowboy.
Zack and his mother recently moved to Summerville, Georgia where they were starting a new ranch. He was a loving son and brother, and will be missed by all.
A visitation will be held on Thursday February 8, 2018 at the Beck Funeral Home in Clayton, Georgia from 11 am until 1 pm.
A funeral service will follow in the Chapel of the Beck Funeral Home in Clayton, Georgia at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Teddy King officiating.
A graveside service will follow at Blue Heights Baptist Church Cemetery in Mountain City, Georgia.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Zackery’s memory to Persimmon Church of God 2360 Devil’s Branch Rd. Clayton, Georgia 30525.
