Rebecca Joy Butler Cummings, 60, of Rabun Gap, GA, passed away at home February 7, 2010 after an extended illness.
She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan Sept. 9, 1949 to Russell “Pops” and Minnie “Micky” Butler. She worked as a LPN at Mountain Lakes Medical Center for a number of years.
A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by two sons, Jason Cumming of Lawrenceville, GA, Joshua Cumming of Tiger; and daughter, Sarah Cumming of Rabun Gap; two grandchildren, Briana and Briar; brothers, Russell Butler of Havanna, FL, Jeff and Debra Butler and son Chris of Lakemont; sisters, Judy Pedrero of Lakemont, Beverly and Jerry Rose of Tiger; nieces, Carmen Rose Redd of Lakemont, Kathie Rose Martin of Turnerville, GA; nephews, Marcus and Michael Pedrero of Sarasota, FL.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
