Rosalyn “Rose” Moore Rogers, age 69, of Mountain City, GA, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2010 in Franklin, NC.
Rose was born in Habersham County on May 23rd, 1940, the daughter of Stella Moore. She was married to Robert S. Rogers for 47 years. Rose was a devoted member of the Battle Branch Baptist Church. She was employed as a home caregiver.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Robert S. Rogers and her sister, Pauline Queen.
She is survived by her son, Allan Rogers and his wife, Kelly Rogers of West Palm Beach, FL; two granddaughters, Amanda and her husband Bille Hale of Covington, GA, and Dakota Rogers of West Palm Beach; three great-granddaughters, Alexis Mackenzie and Chloe Hale. Rose is also survived by her brother, Daniel Moore, and her devoted friend, Doc Pollard of Clayton, GA. Also surviving is he devoted dog, Boo.
The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from Noon until 2 PM. Services will be held in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel after visitation at 2 PM with Pastor Madison McCrackin officiating.
The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Battle Branch Baptist Church, 1769 Warwoman Road, Clayton, GA 30525.
