William “Mr. Bill” Marshall Hibner, 73, of Clayton, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2010.
He was born in Michigan City, Indiana and was the son of Hazel Snook Hibner the late Marshall Hibner.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sally Loreen Bierman Hibner, of the home; three sons, Michael Hibner of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mark Ackley and wife Pearl of California, Larry Grant and wife Janet of Michigan; three daughters, Joyce Gillespie and her husband David of Chesterton, Indiana, Peggy Bellow and her husband Howard of North Carolina, Susan McCall and her husband John of North Carolina; three special daughters, Amber Wilder of Georgia, Heather Wilder of North Carolina, and Megan Wilder of Clayton, Georgia. He is also survived by three sisters, Karen Colgrove and husband “Al” of Roanoke, Virginia, Marsha Hibner of Atlanta, Georgia, and Debbie Scruggs and husband “Richard” of Birmingham, Alabama. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Bill was a member and employee of Clayton United Methodist Church and was a member of the Rabun County Band Boosters and was involved in the Rabun Aid Program.
The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, January 19, 2010 from 5 PM to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 11 AM with Rev. Carol Cook and Rev. Warren Huddleston officiating.
