Richard Todd Epps Obituary

Richard Todd Epps, age 59, of Clayton, Georgia went to his heavenly home February 15, 2024, with family at his side. Todd was born in Jackson County Georgia to Jimmie Minish Epps Hulsey and the late Larry Epps.

Todd graduated from Jackson County High School the class of 1982. Todd worked in sales in several industries but came to love his career in the automotive industry as a sales manager for Duvall Automotive group. He was a mentor, roll model and friend to all the men and women that worked for him. He loved people and was grateful that he was in a role where he could help people. Todd was always smiling, as his moto was Keep On Smiling and he lived by that. No matter what the adversity he was always smiling. The most important thing to Todd was his family; he was a loving husband, father, grandfather. He could not wait to tell you a story about his grandchildren, about what they were doing and how proud he was of them. When he was telling stories about his grandchildren, you could see the joy they brought him on his face. Todd also enjoyed Golf with his friends, it was more about being with friends and having fun than anything. Although he did want to beat whoever he was playing so he could give them a hard time until the next time they played. He also enjoyed Jeep riding. He would put together rides. It was about the ride but mostly about the stops that were made and the interaction of all the people that were there. The jokes, laughter and the comradery were just as much a part of the reason he would get these rides together. Todd worked inside and he loved his job but when he had the chance to be outside, he would always take it, he found solace in the outdoor spaces.

Todd was preceded in death by his father Larry Epps.

He is survived by his mother Jimmie Hulsey (Ronnie); wife Becky Ramey Epps; three sons, Chris Epps, Chad Epps (Amanda), Josh Epps (Danielle Huckeriede); a brother, Scott Epps (Dawn); a half-sister, Anna Epps Webb, and eight grandchildren survive.
