Bruce Corbin Hopper, 80 of Rabun Gap, passed away with his loving family at his side after a brief illness. He was born in Rabun Gap, GA the son of the late L.D Hopper and Kate Christine Ledford Hopper.
After high school Bruce attended Berry College and then went to work for Burlington Industries where he worked for 30 plus years. Most of his time at Burlington was in the die house where he made many happy memories and lifelong friends. Bruce and Dannette attended the Gospel Jams and old fashion Gospel picking and grinning faithfully for many years.
In addition to his parents Bruce was preceded in death by his wife Dannette Marsengill Hopper.
He is survived by one daughter, Monyah Hopper Cathey (Kenneth) of Rabun Gap; one son, Josh Hopper of Rabun Gap; one sister, Mary Jean Hopper Barber of Rabun Gap; four grandchildren, Lucian Watts, Chelsa Watts, David Maennle, Bekah M. Mulligan; Five Great grand children, Nathaniel Aznarra, Kaydence Tyler, Autumn Tyler, Braelyn Mulligan, Rowyn Mulligan several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Wednesday April 25, 2018 at Beck Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM. a Memorial Gospel Jam will be held from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the chapel of Beck Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Rabun County Senior Center in memory of Bruce Hopper.
