Many years have passed since seeing Bruce and Donna. Donna and I keep in touch by an occasional card or email. The Christmas card was how I learned of Chief passing. The years of our friendship at First Presbyterian will always be remembered as very special. The kindness Bruce and Donna gave to our family will never be forgotten. As a believer Bruce has crossed over into blissful eternity. Blessings of peace and comfort are my prayers for Donna and family.

So sad to find that Bruce had passed. Back in the 60s in Chagrin Falls ! It was always fun to be around Bruce and he was loved and liked by everyone that knew him. I will always remember how kind he was to all his friends and that happy smile!. As we grow older it is the people we have a special place in our memories and Bruce was certainly one in my life.

Love and Gods blessings to all of his beautiful family

Donna, Julie and Lori,

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Bruce. Of the many Chiefs of Police I have worked for throughout my career, Bruce was my favorite. Jane and I have fond memories of all of you, and we wish you strength and comfort during this most difficult time.

Losing a loved one is never easy and many times can feel as if no one understands your pain. May it comfort you to know that Jehovah shares in your distress (Isaiah 63:9) because he loves you (1 John 4:10). Offering sincere condolences for your loss.

A good heart stopped beating, and a good soul has ascended to Heaven.

I am honored and blessed to have known Bruce Sekeres for over 40 years, not only as my subordinate at the NPB Police Dept, then as my supervisor/Chief of Police, but as a friend. I got to know his beautiful wife Donna, and daughters Julie & Lori as they took me into their hearts, and made me feel like family.

I am truly saddened by his leaving this world as I am saddened by the pain this wonderful family is having to endure. May God comfort and hold you in his loving arms in this time of mourning. My most heartfelt condolences.

Much love to all,

Donna

I will remember Chief Sekeres for his kindness and great heart. He always took the time to send a word of encouragement or a message of just how beautiful life is, even after he left North Palm Beach. He leaves behind a legacy of a life well lived, and always in service to others. We should all strive to be more like him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. You will be missed Chief but I know you are with the angels.

My condolences to the family. I worked many years with the "Chief". He was one of my Sergeants when I began my career. We attended the State Fire Academy together in West Palm Beach and graduated near top of the class. May your hearts find peace knowing he is in a better place.

It is sad to hear about Bruce passing. I remember when he started in 1974. It seems so long ago, but it really is not. Bruce's compassion for his fellow man, his kindness, his journey for truth and justice has earned him a place with the father. He is reunited with those who passed before him and now prepares a place for those who will join him in the distant future. I thank God that I was allowed the opportunity to know such a good person. I pray that our Lord Jesus bestow his grace upon your family.

I knew and worked with Bruce for many years in law enforcement. As police chiefs we worked closely together and we served on a number of boards in Palm Beach County. Not only did I count Bruce as a fellow chief but also a trusted friend. He was a true professional in our field and gave many years of devoted service to the citizens of North Palm Beach, Fl.. He also treated all of his employees with respect and they in turn, respected him. He will be missed but never forgotten . Rest in peace with the Angels and we will see you again one day on the other side. My heartfelt sympathy to all of the Sekeres family. And thank you so much for sharing Bruce with us. Sincerely, James FitzGerald.
