Scott and Jamie, I was so saddened to read of the loss of your dad this morning. For some reason today I had spare time and looked at the Clayton obituaries. Please give our condolences to your mom . We learned to love your whole family during our days with Poss Realty.

Your dad was the 'real deal" and I can truly say that the only time I talked about your dad with any of my friends was that I was sorry that I had not had the privilege of working for him all my life. If I had only know back in the 70's when I met he and Mary George in the Belk store there. I would have begged him for the opportunity to work under his leadership.

As you all said in the obit, "Well done good and faithful servant Ed Poss, with you I am well pleased". Our Savior is so well pleased with my FRIEND, Ed Poss. And Lord, thank you for allowing me to know him. He was a wonderful man, father and inspiration to those who worked with him.

Please keep us posted as to the Celebration of his Life. May God comfort you and family during this difficult time.

Ed and his family go back with my family to the 40's when Ed and my father went to high school together in Athens.
Ed and his precious wife Mary George Godly character has left an indelible impact on their family and has influenced their friends.
Ed had a work ethic second to none and treated all the same regardless of their position or background.
A man known to start his day early with time in devotional study should be an example for all of us.
We will miss him but rejoice that he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus.
