Jeremy Robert Petteys

Jeremy Robert Petteys, age 46 of Long Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday July 15, 2018.

Jeremy was the owner of the Long Creek General Store. Jeremy always loved his customers and loved being a part of the community. He enjoyed being outdoors, and loved spending time in nature. He enjoyed rafting, kayaking, mountain climbing, fireworks, and gardening and was known for always helping others, and being kind hearted. He was an avid fan of music, and especially enjoyed all those who would come to the store for the bluegrass jam sessions held at the end of each week. Jeremy was a loving husband, stepfather, brother and son.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Lorien Murray.

His survivors include his wife, Monique Petteys, of Long Creek, South Carolina; one grandmother, Lorraine Petteys; his parents, Dennis Albert Petteys and Mary Alice Leach Fulton; one son, Dylan Kelly, of Long Creek, South Carolina; one daughter, Nyla Kelly, of Long Creek, South Carolina; one brother, Dennis Petteys, of Scotts Valley, California. 

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday July 22, 2018 at 1:00pm at Chattooga River Resort 110 Blalock Place Long Creek, South Carolina.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Jeremy’s memory to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN  38105-1942 or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Donor Services P.O. Box 4072 Pittsfield, MA 01202.
