Natalie Ridley Shearin, 98, of Sky Valley, GA and formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida went home on November 30, 2018.  She was born in Smyrna, Tennessee and attended Middle Tennessee State University and graduated from Nashville Comptometer School.

She lived in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband where they spent most of their married life. She retired from the Statistical Reporting Service of the NC Department of Agriculture. Natalie was a member of the NC Retired Employees Association.

They retired to Venice FL where she was a member of the Venice FL Presbyterian Church.  Natalie and Dallas travelled extensively upon retirement then spent their time between homes in Nokomis, FL and Collington Harbor, NC near Kitty Hawk.

Natalie moved to Sky Valley and attended the Chapel of Sky Valley, and the Community Bible Church of Sky Valley (CBC).  She enjoyed her family, walking, reading, her cats over the years, and playing bridge but most of all she loved to dance.  Frank Sinatra was her favorite performer. Lawrence Welk was her most famous dance partner. Yes, he spotted her in the audience on his show and asked her to dance with him. Oh, look, there she is on the dance floor again – her dance card is already full.

Survivors include her three daughters, Lynn Becker (Ray) of Sky Valley, GA, Jane Lee (Phil) of Southport, FL, and Cathy Turner (Bruce) of Sky Valley, GA, one grandson, Jonathan Edwards (Jenn) of Woodstock, FL, and two great-grandsons, Jack and Justin Edwards.  She had two nieces, Amy Miller (George), Elaine Zeanah (Eric) and two nephews, Jeffrey Earls and Roy Ridley (Marcia). She is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas, a brother, William Ridley of Nashville, TN and a sister, Edith Earls of Nashville, TN.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Community Bible Church of Sky Valley on Saturday, June 22, 2019.
