Patsy Arlene (Wall) McCrackin

Patsy Wall McCrackin, age 76, of Lakemont, GA passed on October 22, 2018 after an extended illness.

Patsy was a lifelong resident of Rabun County. She was the daughter of the late Claude R. Wall and the late Savannah Page Wall. Patsy was a Christian, and was a member of the Joy Baptist Church for over 60 years. She will always be remembered for how much she loved to sing gospel music and always attended each singing service. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who always cared for the wellbeing of others and made sure that everyone always had something to eat.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Calvin Wall, Bill Wall, Eugene Wall, Reid Wall, Harold Wall; three sisters, Myrtice Patricia Wall Roach, Annie Ruth Wall, Ruby Nell Parker.

Her survivors include her husband, William McCrackin, of the home; two sons, Preston McCrackin (Alex Moore), of Lawrenceville, GA, Kenneth McCrackin (Angie), of Lakemont, GA; one daughter, Karen McCrackin (Carrie), of Canton, NC; two sisters, Maxine Southards, of Mountain City, GA, Dorothy Wall Stockton, of Tiger, GA; her grandchildren, William McCrackin, Holly McCrackin, Ethon McCrackin, Brittany McClain, Blake McCrackin, Megan McCrackin, Samuel Hall, Andrew McCrackin; her great grandchildren, Dalysse McCrackin, Julie Poole, Paisley McCrackin, Piper McCrackin, Gunner McCrackin, Truitt McCrackin, Brayden McClain, Hayden McClain, Cayden McClain, Vali McCrackin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 23, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Beck Funeral Home. The family would like to note that the casket has been lined with a quilt handmade by Patsy and her dear friends, during her time as director of the Rabun County Senior Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Joy Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Goss and Rev. James Turpen officiating.

A graveside service will follow at the Joy Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Patsy’s memory to the Joy Baptist Church Cemetery Fund P.O. Box 183 Lakemont, GA 30552.

The family will be at the home of Will McCrackin on East Wolf Creek Rd., in Lakemont, GA.
