Ronnie "Dale" Holcomb, age 60, of Clayton, GA., passed April 14, 2018 at his home after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 17, 1958, the son of the late Arvil and Ruth Justus Holcomb.
He was also preceded in death by one brother Calvin Holcomb and one sister Linda Holcomb.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Schriver Holcomb and two sons Joshua Dale Holcomb of Tiger, Ga., and Zachary Eli Moon (Kaylin) of Rabun Gap, Ga., and two granddaughters Kiley Watts and Adayln Rae Moon. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Dale was a lifelong resident of the Germany Mtn community and a graduate of Rabun County High School. He attended Battle Branch Baptist Church. He was employed at Walmart in Clayton for 18 years as Support Manager. During his life he was an employed at Burlington Industries, Fruit of the Loom and also a independent contractor and owned his own heavy equipment business for a number of years. Alongside his wife Cindy, they owned and operated Shiners Restaurant in Clayton until 2011 where he enjoyed passing on his love for food and fellowship and never met a stranger. He was an outdoorsman with a passion for farming, his tractors and working with his hands. He enjoyed vacationing and especially cruising with his family. Dale enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his granddaughters. He loved animals and left behind several four legged sons and daughters.
The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Tuesday April 17, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to the American Cancer Society 2565 Thompson Bridge Road Suite 114 Gainesville, Ga. 30501 and to the Paws 4 Life, 261 Boen Creek Rd. Tiger, Ga, 30576.
