"Tincy" Cordelia Merilla Welborn

Cordelia “Tincy” Merilla Welborn, age 76, of Clayton, Georgia passed away on August 6, 2018. She was born the daughter of the late Hampton and Maude Davenport on May 22, 1942.

Tincy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, and working in the yard tending her flowers. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially baking cookies with her grandchildren. She was a very active member of the Persimmon Church of God and was always quick to share the love of Christ to all she met.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Kermit Welborn; her two sons, Danny Haralson (Debbie), of Greenwood, South Carolina, Greg Welborn (Lisa), of Clayton, Georgia; her two daughters, Vickie Haralson, of Clayton, Georgia, Chasity Dill (Robbie), of Douglasville, Georgia; one brother, Richard Davenport, of Laurens, South Carolina; nine grandchildren, Meila Dill, Jeffrey Hooper, Amanda Stout, Christy Haralson, Kacey Oliver, Brittany Thibeault, Jager Welborn, Tallulah Grace Welborn, Shiloh Welborn; ten great-grandchildren also survive her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at the Beck Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Persimmon Church of God at 2:00 pm with Rev. Teddy King officiating.

A committal service will follow the funeral at the Persimmon Cemetery.
