Opal Allene Justice Mitchell, 87 of Mountain City, Georgia went to her heavenly home November 16, 2024. Allene was the daughter of the late Oakley Justice and the late Daisy Martin Justice.
Allene was a member of Betty's Creek Baptist Church: She enjoyed singing in the choir. Her life revolved around her family. She was so proud of her children and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. When she was not spending time with family she was working. Allene was a hard worker and enjoyed it. She normally had two or three jobs. But most of all she loved the Lord.
In addition to her parents Allene was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Mitchell; a grandson, Chandler Patterson, one son-in-law Kenneth Henslee; two brothers, Wayne Justice, Larry Justice; one sister Carol Foster.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Patterson (Breck), Michelle Henslee; one son Stacy Mitchell (Celena); two brothers, Farrell Justice, Ronnie Justice; one sister, Ginger Bleckley; eight grandchildren, Cylvie Patterson, Kallen Henslee (Megan), Morgan Henslee, Braden Henslee, Kinley Murray (Lance), Kaplan Mitchell (Riley), Kaden Mitchell, Kasen Mitchell; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Betty's Creek Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until 12:15 with a funeral service to follow at 12:30 PM. Rev. Don Samples and Rev. Harvey Conner will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to Betty's Creek Baptist Church.
