Barbara Richards Beck, age 82, passed away on May 19, 2020.

Barbara was born the daughter of the late Vernon W. Richards and the late Lola Mae Parker Richards on November 19, 1937 in Hampton, SC.

Barbara attended the Medical College of Georgia, School of Radiologic Technology, Augusta, GA. In 1959, Barbara began her forty one year career at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. as a Radiology Technician eventually becoming the Administrator for Special Procedures. Barbara will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years James Beck, Sr..

Her survivors include her sons, James and Heather Beck of Cumming, GA, W. Bryan and Leslie Beck of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Stephanie, Olivia, Noah and Rachel Beck; great-grandchild, Copeland Beck; as well as three brothers, Dan and Judy Richards of Melbourne, FL, James and Edith Richards of N. Augusta, GA, Ki and Dootsie Richards of Hampton, SC,; one sister; Dianne and David Dill of Lenoir, NC; along with eleven nieces and nephews.

Due to the healthcare crisis that our nation is currently facing, the family will hold a private burial service.
