Barney West Morgan, age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Born on January 26, 1951, Barney was the son of the late Howard W. Morgan and the late Callie Snider Morgan. A devoted family man, he cherished every opportunity to spend time with those he loved most. Family was the center of his life, and he also treasured the many friendships he made throughout the years.

Barney had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed camping and spending time in nature. Music was another of his great passions, and he proudly played the drums for many years with several different bands. Whether surrounded by family, friends, or fellow musicians, Barney was happiest sharing life's simple pleasures with those around him.

He is survived by his son, Brian Morgan and wife, Rebekah Watts Morgan; his sister, Nancy Morgan Juarez; three grandchildren, Bailey Morgan (Cory Pless), Bethany Morgan, and Cole Morgan; and one great-grandchild, Magnolia Pless.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beck Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Watts officiating. Interment will follow in Smith Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund P.O. Box 485 Rabun Gap, GA 30568 in memory of Barney Morgan.
