Beatrice Venus Parker Darnell, age 78, of Clayton, Georgia, passed away on December 14, 2017.

She was born the daughter of the late Alfred Buren Parker and Zura Savanah Welborn Parker. Beatrice was a Christian and a member of the Betty's Creek Baptist Church.She was a lifelong resident of Rabun County. "Bea" loved to go on fishing trips to Florida and traveling with her late husband Hubert. She enjoyed crafts, especially sewing and woodworking.

In addition to her parents, her husband Hubert Norton Darnell and one brother-in-law, Stanley Darnell, preceded her in death.

Her survivors include four brothers and one sister, Jesse L. Parker, Brenda Norton, Douglas Parker, Doyle Parker, David Parker; two sister-in-laws, Pat Ketterson, Kay Darnell, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday December 15, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday December 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm o'clock at the Betty's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Don Samples and Mickey Justice officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Betty's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Beatrice to the Betty's Creek Baptist Church.
