Betty White Speed Roane, 89, of the Warwoman community completed her journey here on Earth and left for her heavenly home on January 16, 2024. She was a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church and loved her church family.

Betty was born the daughter of the late Sexton White and Stella Turpin White. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Fred Davis Speed; second husband Alex Roane; sons Winfred Julius Speed and William Logan Speed and great-grandson Jimmy William.

Betty is survived by her grandchildren, Tanya Bleckley (Gary) of Clayton, GA; Eric Speed (Kimberly) of Franklin, N.C.; Tiffany Speed of Canon, GA; Amanda Watson (Cody) of Franklin, N.C.; Dawne Sult of Clayton, GA; and Logann Speed of Clayton, GA. She is also survived by her great-granchildren, Rayna Houck (Matthew); Brooke Bleckley (Steven Branson); Annie Watson; Davis Jewel; Anna Louise and John Adam.

Also surviving are her step-children, Julia Butler, Tracy Thompson and Greg Roane; step- grandchildren, Clint Roane, Geoff Butler and Marcey Glass; and step-great- grandchildren, Tristin Glass, Ashton Glass, Grace Roane, Addison Roane, and Ella Roane.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Battle Branch Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m..

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Battle Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Cale Stancil officiating.
