Billy Carver, 92, of the Chechero community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20th, 2026.

Billy enjoyed gardening. He spent many years in the restaurant business as a cook at the Old Clayton Inn, the Dillard House, and, in his later years, at Kingwood Country Club.

Billy was a member of Chechero Baptist Church. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Godfrey Cemetery with Reverend Delbert McCall officiating.
