Bruce Lodge Spencer Jr., 83, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Bruce Lodge Spencer Sr. and Laura Grace Spencer.

He was an amazing man in all respects - as a husband, dad, and grandpa. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Spencer; daughter Jennifer Bennett (Dan); son John Spencer (Karen); and step-daughter Heather Riley; sister Marjorie Hermes; and grandchildren Zach Bennett, Alexandra Bennett, Jacob Ittel, Ashley Ittel, and Kaitlyn Ittel.

His Lord, Jesus Christ, was the center of his life. He was passionate about reading God's Word, the Church and his Grace Bible Church family. He was known by all for his gentleness, kindness, faith, loyalty and love for all creatures great and small. He loved God's creation and enjoyed it as an avid outdoorsman while snow skiing, kayaking, hiking, playing tennis and biking. Bruce proudly served in the United States Navy, then in the reserves, retiring as a Commander.

The family will have a celebration of life officiated by Pastor Zack Ford at Grace Bible Church in Mountain City, Georgia.  His final resting place will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at a later date.
