Claude A. (CA) Henson age 97, a long time resident of Clayton, Ga., passed away Saturday February 11, 2023, after a short period of declining health.

Born in Macon County, NC to Claude and Ornessie Norris Henson, he is survived by a sister in law Jessie Henson of Dillard, Ga., and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews cousins, and dear friends.

He was precede in death by his wife of 60years, Hazel Gilstrap Henson, his daughter Claudia Lee Henson, brother and sister in law  Dover and Peggy Henson, sister and brother in law Dorothy and Buford Ward, and a brother Clifton Henson.

Being a career car salesman, CA worked many years at Duvall Automotive and later owned his own business, Henson Auto Sales. He was a long-time member of Clayton First United Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion, and a proud US Navy Veteran serving in WW II.

Services will be held at Beck Funeral Home 2:00pm Tuesday February 14, 2023 at Beck Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lee Krivsky officiating. Family and friends may gather from 1:30 until 2:00pm. Interment will follow in the Rabun Memory Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Hazel and Claudia Lee Henson Scholarship fund at Young Harris College P.O. Box 98, Young Harris, Georgia 30582 or to the charity of your choice.
