Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Caren Moore Schriver, who was born on April 5, 1950, in Carmel, California, to the late Roger Preston Moore and Phyllis Eileen Bishop Moore.

Caren lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to those around her. She built a successful career in real estate and was a valued partner at Preferred Properties in Franklin, North Carolina, where she formed many lasting friendships through her professionalism and genuine care for others.

She loved to travel and especially enjoyed taking cruises, embracing every opportunity to explore new places and create treasured memories. Yet of all life's adventures, nothing brought Caren greater joy than being surrounded by her family. Whether celebrating milestones or simply sharing everyday moments, she treasured every moment spent with the people she loved. Her generous heart, warm smile, and unwavering love for her children, grandchildren, and extended family will remain a lasting gift to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Caren was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Moore, her grandchild, Corey Hansen and great grandchild Jaden Daniels-Moon. Though their reunion brings comfort, she leaves behind a family who will forever miss her presence and hold her memory close.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Bradley Schriver and his wife, Mary Jane, of Smiths Station, Alabama; her daughters, Cindy Holcomb-Buckmaster and her husband, Tony, of Clayton, Georgia, and Christina Hansen-Moore and her husband, Thomas, of New Oxford, Pennsylvania; and her brother, Dennis Moore of Waynesville, North Carolina.

She also leaves behind —her beloved grandchildren: Zachary Moon, Alyssa Moats, Zeke Schriver, Bryce Schriver, Josh Holcomb, Malissa Belton, Sabrina Reid; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Each of them carries forward a piece of her love, strength, and spirit.

A memorial service to celebrate Caren's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Caren's honor to the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 485, Rabun Gap, GA 30568.

Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we find comfort in the countless memories she gave us. Caren's love, compassion, and the joy she shared so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
