Carol Barnes Frady, age 84, of Clayton, Georgia, had her home going on December 30, 2020.
Carol was born the daughter of the late Albert Barnes and the late Bessie Dryman Barnes on January 15, 1936 in Scaly Mountain, North Carolina. In her professional life she worked for the Rabun County Government. Carol was a member of the Christian faith and a member of Wiley Church of God. She always was very involved with her church and taught Sunday school for many years. Carol always loved being with her family and was a second mother to all her siblings and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyne Z Frady; her foster son, Loren Frady; three brothers, Jim Barnes, Louis Barnes, Jack Barnes; three sisters, Sue Hick, Judy Ensley, Shirley Bolick.
Her survivors include her two foster sons, Audie Rogers and Stacy Rogers, of Ringold, Georgia; one brother, Fred Barnes, of Scaly Mountain, North Carolina; two sisters, Jane English (Roy), of Clayton, Georgia, Diane Lesley of Tiger, Georgia; one grandson, Chestin Rogers; one great-grandson and a number of nieces and nephews also survive her.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday January 2, 2021 at the Persimmon Community Cemetery at 1:00 pm with Rev. Adam Wright and Rev. David Port officiating.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Carol's memory to the Wiley Church of God Building Fund P.O. Box 237 Wiley, GA 30581.
