Charles William Knight III, age 73, of Clayton, Georgia passed away on December 7, 2022.

Charlie was born the son of the late Dr. Rev. Charles William Knight II and Elsie Renfroe on August 1, 1949 in Nigeria, Africa. During his professional life he was employed as a Captain of the DeKalb County Fire Department, where he was employed for thirty years. Charlie enjoyed racing, riding Harley Davidson's and fishing. He loved his family and loved to spend time with them and with friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Rabun Gap Masonic Lodge and an ambassador with the Masonic Children's Home.

His parents preceded him in death.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 33 years, Reva Hall Knight, of Clayton; two daughters, Leslie Scott (Wes), of Tiger and Lisa Callaway (Kevin), of Dacula, Georgia; one brother, Malcom Ren Knight (Cathie), of Loganville, Georgia; four grandchildren, Madison Scott, Peyton Scott, Clayton Scott, Kevin Callaway.

The family will receive friends on Friday December 9, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Beck Funeral Home in Clayton, Georgia.

A funeral will be held on Saturday December 10, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Beck Funeral Home in Clayton, Georgia with Rev. Scott Cates officiating.

Burial will take place after the service at the Hall Cemetery 3670 Big Creek Rd Hartford, TN 37753.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN  38105 or the Masonic Children's Home 1417 Nottingham Drive Macon, Georgia 31211.
