Chester Franklin Sagner Sr., age 82 passed away January 9, 2026 with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Chester and Evelyn Sagner. He was also preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Sagner, and one brother George Sagner.

He is survived by his children Chester Sagner Jr., Becky Burrell (Jason), and Crystal Sagner, and one grandchild Trinity Daugherty.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed visiting and spending time with his friends. In his younger years he was a commercial fisherman, and then a carpenter for many years. Chester lived in Rabun County since 1978. He was the toughest man his children ever knew and was a gentle giant.
