David Ralph Ogram, a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, died peacefully December 26, 2020, at home in Clayton, Georgia. He was 79 years old.

David Ogram was born in Andover, Ohio on June 14, 1941, and graduated from University of Florida, College of Architecture in 1970. Before college he served 4 years in the US Air Force. He practiced architecture in Atlanta, Georgia under the name Ogram Architects, Inc., with projects throughout the southeast.

David was an avid artist, builder and creative problem solver and his designs would leave a lasting impact on people. In his later years he painted on large canvases creating "his" contemporary interpretations of the "Old Masters".

David believed and lived by the philosophy "keep it simple". He was a gifted designer and visionary. He spent most of his free-time drawing, painting or building new ideas. He was greatly influenced during his youth by his maternal grandfather on his grandfather's dairy farm in Andover, Ohio. He enjoyed storytelling throughout his life. Most of his stories were based on his early experiences on the farm.

During the time David was enlisted in the US Air Force Strategic Air Command he served as an electrical mechanic. He was permanently assigned to the U-2 spy planes, including and during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War.

David cherished his years spent on Lake Rabun canoeing and hiking. He was most fond of his work and time there.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Constance Uible Ogram, his children Christine Cliatt (Todd), Laura Ogram-Reyes (Diego) and David Ralph, Jr. Also, surviving are his 4 grandchildren. He has two surviving brothers, Charles Leslie Ogram and James Ogram. He has two surviving sisters, Jane Seng and Pam Thompson.

A private memorial service will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio at Spring Grove Cemetery, May, 2021. Memorials may be made to Homestead Hospice, 9168 Rogers Street, Blairsville, Georgia 30512. Beck Funeral Home, Inc., Clayton, Georgia is handling the arrangements.
