Dorothy Grace (Pike) Tyson passed away at Mountain View Nursing Home, Clayton, Georgia, on January 15 at the age of 99. Mrs. Tyson was born in Marion County, Georgia, January 7, 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Hubert Tyson, Tifton, Georgia; one son, Phillip Courtney Tyson, Canton, Georgia; one daughter-in law, Debi Gail Tyson, Tifton, Georgia; her father Julion Elnor Pike, Manchester, Georgia; her mother Gladys Berta (Hayes) Pike, Manchester, Georgia; her two sisters Earleen Kimball and Helen Johnson, both of Manchester, Georgia; and her brother, Everett Pike, Manchester, Georgia.

Mrs. Tyson is survived by two sons, Michael (Janis) Tyson, Marietta, Georgia; John Tyson, Tifton, Georgia; daughter-in-law Marcia Tyson, Canton, Georgia; three daughters and one son-in-law, Lenora (Fenton) Nash, Albany, Georgia; Donna Clements, Lakemont, Georgia; and Patricia Kelly, Clayton, Georgia. Mrs. Tyson has 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Tyson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She resided most of her life in Tift County, Georgia where she reared her six children. She was a long-time member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Chula, Georgia.

She will be greatly missed by everyone.
