Ervin E. “Gene” Hulen, age 75 passed away on July 27, 2026 with his loving wife by his side.

Gene was born in Troy, Alabama on December 30, 1950 to the late Albert Eugene Hulen and late Frances Virginia Brown Hulen.

Gene was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps before building a career in auto sales at Chestatee Ford Dealership in Dahlonega. In his free time, Gene loved fishing and hunting, relaxing in his recliner while watching his favorite television shows, and never passed up a chance to enjoy a bowl of ice cream.

Gene is survived by his wife, Laura A. Twigg Hulen; children, Robert Hulen, Kevin Davidenko and Jeannine Hill (Jimmy); sister, Sandra Higgins; as well as several grandchildren and his fur grand-dogs.
