Esther Elizabeth Brunner James passed away on April 11, 2024.

Esther was born in Fountain City, Tennessee on April 18, 1943 to the late Edgher Brunner and the late Cecile Emiline Williams Brunner. After graduating high school in Knoxville, Tennesse, she studied to become a registered nurse as well as attended the Tennessee Temple Bible College in Chattanooga.

Esther was a dedicated church attendee and sang in the choir wherever she went, often having solo performances during services.

In addition to her parents, Esther is preceded in death by her daughter, Tonya James Roardink.

Esther is survived by her husband, Tommy R James; children; Phillip James (Sandy), Stephen James (Angelia), Jonathan James (Jennifer) and son-in-law, Jason Roardink; sister, Joan Terry; and 19 beloved grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 10:00am-11:45am on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Beck Funeral Home with the service following in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rocky Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Tiger, Georgia.
