Jack Bascom Roberts Jr., age 76 of Dillard, Georgia passed away on November 3, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. Jack was born July 10, 1950 in Douglas, Georgia to the late Jack Bascom Roberts Sr. and the late Billie Catherine Cornelius Roberts.

Jack was a loving husband, chef of the home and a proud Dad and “Pops”. He also served as a father figure to his extended family. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he was an avid Georgia Bulldogs football fan and proudly supported his Dawgs, attending numerous home and away games and cheering them on in later years from his home. He enjoyed sharing stories of his childhood growing up in the 1950s. He would often spend time golfing with friends in Sky Valley and teaching his children to ski during the winter months. Along the way, he was always willing to stop and help anyone who had slid into a ditch. Jack served as a councilman for the City of Dillard for more than 40 years, dedicating much of his life to his community. He had a special love for Lake Burton and Lake Blackshear, where some of his happiest memories were made with dear family and friends. Whether skiing or tubing his nieces and nephews and grandkids, or cruising the lake aboard his beloved boat, Old Yeller, Jack cherished the time spent with his family and grandchildren most.

Jack leaves behind his beloved wife, Henrietta Roberts; children, Melanie Martin (Mike) and Amy Duncan (Lee); sister, Diana Zappas (Andy); grandchildren, Madeline Martin, Morgan Martin, Lillian Duncan, and Amelia Duncan; nieces and nephews, Kelly Dedeaux, Ben Evans, Drew Zappas, Derek Dillard, Julie Speed, Trey Dillard, Louie Duvall and Elizabeth Davis; as well as their families and in-laws. Jack is also preceded in death by his niece, Miley Duvall; and nephew, Tyler Dillard.

The Roberts family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 3:00pm on Friday, November 6, 2026 at Beck Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00pm in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel. Guests are encouraged to wear UGA attire.
