Joe Garner Wilson, age 84, of Clayton, Georgia peacefully passed away on December 18, 2021.

He was born in Highlands North Carolina on October 27, 1937 to the late Herman T. Wilson and Dona Elizabeth Rogers. He was also preceded in death by three brothers Duane Wilson, Neville Wilson, and Morris Wilson

Joe was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He had a love for music, playing banjo, hunting and golf. Joe and Norma especially cherished their travels with Robert and Emily Edwards.  Joe had a love for people and never met a stranger. Joe was a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple.

His survivors include his loving wife, Norma Billingsley Wilson; his two daughters, Sherri Lovelady (Chris) and Melanie Nix (Lamar); one brother, Steve Wilson (Jo Ella); one sister, Barbra Dordsik (Bill); one sister in law Kathleen Wilson, five grandsons John Lovelady (Emily), Andrew Lovelady (Bobbi Jo), Justin Watson (Sarah), Jacob Watson (Kyleigh), and Luke Nix; and two great grandchildren Ella Lovelady, and Jack Watson.

A service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
