Lynda Jane Emory Hunter, age 67, of Clayton, GA, passed away on July 5, 2017, with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late George Samuel Emory and Lucille Pearl Smitherman.

Lynda was known for her love of her family and was a loving mother, wife and sister. She was a faithful Christian and was a member of the Battle Branch Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, two brothers, George Malcolm Emory and Allen Marshall Emory, preceded her in death.

Her survivors include her husband, of 26 years, Bobby Hunter, of Tiger, GA; one step-son, Robbie Hunter, of Clayton, GA; one daughter, Lexie Hunter, of Tiger, Ga; one step-daughter, Sherrie Lawrence, of Clayton, GA; six brothers, William Howard Emory, Jimmy Richard Emory, Robert Alton Emory, Samuel Stephen Emory, Donald Kelly Emory, Stewart Douglas Emory; two sisters, Nancy Carol Khoury, Suzanne Gail Bryans.

The family will receive friends on Friday July 7, 2017 from 6 until 8 pm at Beck Funeral Home Clayton, Ga.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Beck Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Hunter and Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Rabun Memory Park.
