Obituary

Lynne Ramey of Clayton, Georgia passed away on May 29, 2025.

Lynne was born in Clayton, Georgia to the late Henry Jable Ramey and the late Lucy Teague Ramey. Lynne graduated from Rabun County High School. She retired from the Department of Family and Children Services where she worked as a case worker.

Lynne was a woman of faith who enjoyed being involved in Battle Branch Baptist Church. She loved helping people. She was a creative, marvelous seamstress and liked making jewelry from beads. Lynne found joy in spending time outdoors, camping.

Lynne is survived by her brother, Henry J. Ramey Jr. (Teresa G. Ramey); sister, Lucia Ann Scroggs (Bobby J. Scroggs); nieces, Kerri Williams; nephews, H.J. Ramey III and David Ramey; great nieces, Anna Ramey, Isabelle Ramey, Lainey Ann Ramey; and great nephews, Jable Ramey and Kip Ramey.

A visitation will be held 1:30pm – 3:00pm on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Battle Branch Baptist Church with the funeral service at 3:00pm at Battle Branch Baptist Church. Interment will take place after the service in Tiger Cemetery.
