Margaret Jane Keil of Hiawassee passed away September 22, 2024.

Margaret was born July 7, 1945 to the late Wilfred B. Keil and late Margaret McGlaughlin Keil. After finishing her undergraduate studies, she obtained two graduate degrees from Iowa University where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega and Phi Delta Kappa.

Margaret was an elementary education teacher for twenty-five years in North and Central Georgia, North Carolina, Colorado and Iowa. She was a proud member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church in Hiawassee.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Chesley Carden.

Margaret is survived by her son, Samuel R. Wentzel (Cassandra) and grandchildren, Ryland Wentzel and Matthew Wentzel.
