Mary Elizabeth Lathem Barnes of Lakemont, Ga., passed away November 25, 2017.  She was the daughter of the late Boyce W. Lathem and Ella Mae Ferguson Lathem. Her husband William Barnes also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her two daughters Patricia Barnes Atlanta, Ga., and Laura Brown (Robert) Cochran S.C., one sister Margaret Alexander (Robert) Easley S.C., two Grandsons David Brown (Meg), Daniel Brown (Leaanna), and one Granddaughter Amanda Brown.

A graveside service will be held 4:00 pm Sunday November 26, 2017 at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest, Ga. with Rev. John Hutcheson officiating.
