Michael Charles Rivers, age 69, of Rabun Gap, Georgia passed away on October 18, 2018 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.

Michael was born on December 8, 1948 to the late Robert Andrews Rivers and Elizabeth Jones Rivers in Miami, Florida. He was a member of the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church in Dillard, Georgia. In his professional life, Michael worked as a graphic designer for Macon Printing. He was a lover of all dogs, especially his "Gracie." He was always a loving father and husband.

In addition to his parents, two brothers preceded him in death, Ken Rivers and Tim Rivers.

Michael leaves behind his loving wife, Kathy Rivers, of the home; his son, Joe Rivers, of Rabun Gap, Georgia; two daughters, Andrea Palumbo (Jim), of Annapolis, Maryland, Susie Tietz (David), of Clarksville, Georgia; two brothers, Bob Rivers (Monika), of Minnesota, Steve Rivers (Marlene), of Florida; two sisters in law, Mary Lou Rivers, of Florida, Jenny Rivers, of Tennessee; many nieces and nephews, and cousins also survive him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Michael's memory to Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Food Pantry P.O. Box 184 Dillard, GA 30537.
