Richard E. Dittler of Clayton passed away on December 25, 2024.

Richard was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 17, 1945 to the late Emil Dittler and late Helene Rosenbaum Dittler. He served in the United States Naval Air during Vietnam as an engineer. After leaving the Navy, Richard worked and later retired as a Produce Manager for Publix.

Richard's greatest accomplishment in life was marrying the love of his life. He played football for the University of Georgia and continued his love for football afterwards by watching every game. Richard also loved to fish.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Dittler; children, Chad Erickson (Danna), Kathy Riera (Pete), and Karen Johnson (Joel); grandchildren, Shane Herman (Stacy), Canci, Calli, Chloi; and great-grandchildren, Milo, Milly.

There is no service planned at this time.
