Richard Alexander Parrott, age 87 passed away on September 1, 2026. Richard was born January 1, 1939 to the late Woodrow Parrott and the late Frances Parrott.

Richard was a devoted member of Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church, where he served and was actively involved for many years. He had a great love for the game of golf and especially enjoyed taking golf trips and making lasting memories along the way. We thank you for your military service. Above all, Richard treasured his family and was blessed with more than 64 years of marriage to the love of his life (Rany Parrott).

Richard is survived by his wife, Rany (Singleton) Parrott; children, Alan Parrott (Molly) and Andy Parrott (Jennifer); brother, David Parrott; as well as 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren on the way.

The family will have a celebration of life on September 12, 2026 at 1:00pm at Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church.
