Robie Strickland Fisch, aged 85, passed away peacefully in her home April 22, 2020. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 16, 1935 to Freeman and Ruth Strickland.

Robie was a graduate of Randolph Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg Virginia. In her career, as an office manager, she mentored and advised two of the most successful youth ministers in Atlanta at the time - The Cathedral of St. Phillips , and Northside United Methodist Church. It was also in this mentoring capacity where her infectious and ever present smile along with an always positive attitude, touched a generation of youth and left countless unforgettable impressions within her ministry. Upon retirement she moved with her husband, Billy, to their long held retreat in the North Georgia mountains on Lake Burton. It was here that she embarked on what would be a successful journey as a painter and artist - with her art gracing the covers of magazines, and hanging on the walls of public libraries and Congressional offices. Robie had a lifelong love of spending quality time with her family, gardening with her amazing green-thumb, enjoying a good book, and most especially...dogs. She had an uncanny ability to curate instant friendships with people of all ages and backgrounds many of which she maintained until her final days.

Robie is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years William Walton Fisch. Her younger brother Freeman Strickland and family. 4 devoted Children and their spouses; Walton (Gloria), Catherine Woerheide (John), Elizabeth, David (Sara). 7 fantastic Grandchildren; Laurel, Daisy, Willis, Sigi, Felix, Kiki and Sally. 3 Grandogs, 3 Grandcats, and a countless amount of friends she met and kept along the way.

There will be a celebration of her life for family and friends at a yet to be determined time this summer at Lake Burton
