Ruth Faye Coleman, age 94, of Clayton, Ga passed away Sunday January 7, 2024 at her home.

Ruth Faye was born on March 16, 1929, in the Persimmon Community to the late Conice and Josie Hopper Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Tommie Coleman who passed away in 2008. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Parker and sisters, Blanche Thurmond, Tessie Mae Thompson, Lois Thompson and Connie Mae Coleman. Another sister, Hazel died in infancy. Ruth Faye was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by her daughter, Pat Coleman and son, Mick Coleman of Clayton, and sister-in-law Betty Coleman as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

As the twins were seniors in high school, she attended North Georgia technical College where she obtained a Cosmetology degree and practiced this profession for the following twenty-five years.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Persimmon community Cemetery Wednesday January 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
