Velma (Ramey) Childers of Clayton, Georgia passed away on December 12, 2024.  She was born July 24, 1942 in Rabun County to the late Clayton Morrow Ramey and late Rosie Irene Smith Ramey.

Velma's family was her life. She loved her family fiercely and everyone loved her. She was secure in her faith and enjoyed antique shopping in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, Velma is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Alan Childers; and sisters, Vivian Carver and Charlotte Jones.

Velma is survived by her children, Shaun Childers (Lori) and Tonja Childers; siblings, Harold Dennis, Clifton Ramey and Marsha Woods; grandchildren, Soloman Childers, Seth Childers, Zach Childers, Michael Childers, Michelle Childers; and 3 great-grandchildren.

There will be a receiving of family and friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Beck Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held following the visitation at 2:15pm in the Clayton Cemetery.
